The original “Maine
Hysterical Society” clubhouse was built a wicked long time ago, though nobody
knows exactly when. It still stands to this day, in a super secret location deep
in the “haht” of Maine. (Sorry, we can’t be more precise... Minutes from the original
meetin’ contain but three powerful words... “HA, HA, HA!”)
This photo,
taken by a long since expired founding member (who laughed himself to death at
the ripe old age of 99) is all that remains from the original society archives.
In
2001, Randy Judkins resurrected the MHS name and creed, which is of course, “...to
preserve, promote and provoke laughter...” He then invited Steve Underwood and
Barney Martin to take the oath, learn the secret handshake, (it involves something
that buzzes) and hit the road. They're glad they did. It’s been nothin’ but non-stop
laughter and wicked good times evah’ since... See ya’ somewhere soon!
