In most settings, the Maine Hysterical Society asks for these basic requirements:

  • Venue: Clean (swept and wet mopped) stage or performance space of at least 12 feet across by 12 feet deep and a 24 inch rise.
  • Sound: We normally bring our own and can also connect to your an existing 'house' system.
  • Lighting: General wash of white and/or amber light. Each contract is negotiated independently. Travel expenses are added. To secure a date we usually request a down payment of $500.
  • We typically will arrive 3 hours prior to the performance time to load in, set up, perform sound checks and test the lighting.
  • We will need a Dressing Room, bottled water and access to a bathroom.
  • For Concerts open to the public, we often perform a 50 minute first half followed by a 35 minute second half with a 15 minute intermission in between. We also can entertain for 90 minutes straight without an intermission.
  • For private engagements, we believe that somewhere between 45 and 60 minutes seems most appropriate.

 

The Maine Hysterical Society will support your promotional efforts with a master poster that you can copy, a short promo DVD for local access TV, Digital Photos and a formal Press Release for your local media.
